Start of Week 2

The weekend has gone! And Monday is here!

I started somewhat outlining the novel version of Dante’s Inferno. I ordered some books from the PSU Library to help out with symbolism understandings. What’s cool about the PSU Library is if you not at State College, PA , where main campus is, you can order the books to be dropped off at a Branch Campus near you.

In a British accent: “How convenient.” Then sip tea.

Naming the characters has always been difficult. I want the characters’ names to represent who they are -obviously. I want the names that will let the reader easily see the character in their mind.

Jay Gatsby, Pip Pirrip, Jane Eyre, the sole letters of these names evoke some imagination who these people are. That is what I’m working on now.

The cool thing is though I found old notes for the novel on the computer. I was using a program called yWriter5. http://download.cnet.com/yWriter-5/3000-2079_4-77524.html

It was designed by Simon Haynes, a best-selling novelist and who also happens to be a programmer. I’m still getting use to it and I’ll let you know how that goes.

It was nice…to find something I can build off then create from scratch. I don’t know how much I’ll use.
