This new show that is coming is going to be directed by Martin Scorsese. There were auditions today for extras in the show. For non-union people, we were told to show up at 1:00 pm. Well, I begin walking, trying to find the end of the line. I kept walking, and walking, and walking, and walking until I found the end. This line went around a full block if you had everyone in a single file.
I giggled and I stuck with it! I met these two really cool girls: Felicia Garcia and Taylor Scott.
Taylor Scott seemed like a pro at this and had just finished her associate’s degree (I believe somewhere in the lines of theatre degree). Felicia Garica is in the same boat as me as being new to the city (also her week 4).
We talked for about four hours while in line. Felicia and I were able to get to the end of the audition (which was the taking a two pictures per person). Taylor had to go to work at this place called Sabon (Israel soap store in NYC) and was unable to audition and had to leave. Taylor is working on an album. I would be interested in hearing that!
Though, there was no overcast today (Felicia and I had umbrellas while we were in line to save ourselves from burning). I tried to become more careful about poking the person in front of me with my umbrella. He had no pen to fill out the form for the audition (so I lent him one and a book to write on).
I also found this store second hand store near the apartment and got a Thread Social Dress for 49.50! http://social.threaddesign.com/ The blog ends around November this past year. Cool Clothes! Especially the dress I bought for my interview tomorrow for the bridal boutique place!
I’ll let you know how that goes.
Overall Great Day 🙂
