Cap O’Rushes: Story through Pictures
I had a project to tell a story in five panels. The fairy tale Cap O’Rushes. I hand drawn pictures first, scanned them into the computer (rasterized them Adobe Illustrator), and used paint bucket from Photoshop. The fairy tale is an English story. It is about a rich girl being forsaken by her father. He says she doesn’t love him. The girl works as a maid to a handsome landowner. She meets the handsome landowner at a party, not as herself. Although she won’t give him her name, he gives her a ring before she leaves. Eventually, The handsome landowner gets sick from not seeing the Cap O’Rushes (the girl’s name as a maid). Cap O’Rushes makes a soup for the man to be taken to his room, leaving her ring in the soup.
The landowner demands to see the person who made the soup. Cap O’Rushes appears to him and she takes off her rushes (reeds she got in the first scene). She shows him who she is and happily ever after.
